Here is a pretty straight-forward page I've created in plain hypertext to keep track of information regarding one of my favorite fantasy novel and game settings, the world of Midkemia. We'll start with a brief who's-who.
Here, then, are the novels by Ray Feist, in order as they were published. If you read it in this order, things will tend to jump around a little chronologically later on. But, to me, the chronological unfolding of time is of secondary importance compared with the evolution and development of ideas, and even writing style. Therefore, reading the books as they were released is probably the smoothest way to read them. As an interesting exercise, however, I have also made a list of the books in chronological order.
Those books which are not indented on the list below represent the "core story" of the great Rift Wars, and progress in chronological order. The indented volumes flesh out other stories of Midkemia and its related worlds, and all more-or-less take place somewhere within the framework of the first Riftwar Saga. Note that these secondary stories are not necessarily "secondary" in quality--the Empire Trilogy, for example, is surely one of the best series listed.

The following information comes from Steve Abrams, over the mailing list, and is pretty self-explanatory. Yes, I know this information exists everywhere else on the net, but so does everything else on this page. This is a comparatively clean copy of some really cool info which I like to refer to often. For information on Ishap, the one god over all, read Ray Feist's books.

This should automatically subscribe you to the mailing list. This is the traditional Midkemia discussion forum, and several authors including Raymond Feist, Joel Rosenberg, and Steve Abrams, have been known to participate. I keep a copy of the latest version of Ray Chiang's FAQ that should be sent to newbies for convenience. This is one of the best places to find the most up-to-date information. Of course, I will gladly remove this file from my server if there are any objections.
