INTRODUCTION
Greyhawk (referring to the dungeons of Castle Greyhawk) was the home campaign of E. Gary Gygax. Out of it grew the published D&D rules and later the AD&D rules, and also a rich fantasy world setting called the World of Greyhawk.
Robert J. Kuntz, a longtime player in the Greyhawk campaign, was also the DM of a campaign world known as Kalibruhn which was "adjunct" to the world of Greyhawk. When Gygax made Kuntz co-DM of Greyhawk, their two worlds and even their primary dungeons merged. When Gygax parted ways with TSR, Kuntz continued to publish material for the "World of Kalibruhn" through his own company.
David L. Arneson's Blackmoor and Lenard Lakofka's Lendore Isles are other old-time home campaigns that found their way onto corners of the World of Greyhawk map. Frank Mentzer's Aquaria introduces a new continent set in the same world.
The following bibliography is an attempt to list all of the original Greyhawk resources. First is included the complete TSR works (D&D-related) of Gary Gygax, most of which has either a direct or indirect bearing on the World of Greyhawk, followed by his post-TSR Greyhawk novels. Following that are those Greyhawk works which were overseen by Gygax and received his stamp of approval, as well as any subsequent works by Kuntz, Arneson and Lakofka, who are certainly authentic sources for their campaigns.

Compilations of modules were generally poorly done, by tying together modules that have little in common, and/or by a good degree of detail being lost in the process. The exceptions are G1-2-3 and D1-2, which have all the original information in practically the original format, plus extra information (pre-rolled player characters).
This is not an attempt to invalidate Greyhawk material that has come since the Gygax era. Rather, I am merely the sort who is interested in the beginnings and roots of things, and I believe that it is important to know what has come before in order to appreciate what came after. The following forms the basis and common culture for Greyhawk fandom.
A "0000" in place of a TSR stock number indicates that the item is/was published by a company other than TSR, or that TSR printed the product without a stock number.
I have included, where possible, hyperlinks to online stores where you can purchase the titles (which usually means a high-quality scan).
THE ESSENTIALS
As the complete list is rather lengthy, I here attempt to assemble a short list of products essential to a basic understanding of the foundations of Greyhawk. All of the following are by Gary Gygax.
The Game: The original AD&D Monster Manual, Players Handbook, and Dungeon Masters
Guide are all integral to a proper appreciation of the World of Greyhawk.
The World: The 1983 boxed edition of the World of
Greyhawk provides maps and detailed information about the lands themselves. This is the true Greyhawk bible.
The Modules: G1-2-3 Against the Giants, T1-4 The Temple of Elemental Evil, S4 The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth, WG4 The Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun, and WG5 Mordenkainen's Fantastic Adventure are those modules which are essential to any Greyhawk fan.
The Novels: Finally, the richest and fullest realization of the World of Greyhawk may be found in the novels. You will particularly not want to miss the first four: Saga of Old City, Night Arrant, Artifact of Evil, and Sea of Death.
